One of the ways subject leaders monitor their subjects is to take a 'learning walk'. This means they walk round the school making note of any examples of learning they can see in displays of children's work or working walls in the classrooms. A working wall is a display where staff and pupils put information which will help pupils in their future learning. It helps them remember previous learning.
