Just like the Very Hungry Caterpillar in our story we are cupcakes.  First we had to make them so as part of our Literacy and Mathematics we read the recipe carefully and followed the instructions measuring the ingredients and watching the time while they baked in the oven.  After we had iced our cake we put them together to make a caterpillar with each of our cakes as part of his body.
